Our Arts Education Programs have provided multicultural music instruction to over 5,000 NYC public school students.  Our focus is on fostering a lifelong passion for music, academic proficiency, social skills and social justice awareness. Our programs provide instrumental music instruction to students, ages 11 to 21, in after school and private lesson settings, and engage students in the history and culture music works with professional musicians and composers.

For over 2 decades, our Symphonic Youth Program (SYP) at the Mott Hall Middle School has provided group and ensemble instruction that explores multicultural music from traditional folk songs to classic jazz, Latin and orchestral music.

Playing History Musician Mentorship program offers free/reduced private lessons to economically-marginalized families in Harlem, Washington Heights, Dyckmann and the South Bronx with Multicultural Music Group Orchestra members.
