MMG SU-CASA Residency Program: Timeless Tunes

The Multicultural Music Group was pleased to implement Timeless Tunes, a 10-week SU-CASA residency at MMCC-CDC Older Adult Center in Marble Hill. The program, held on Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, provided older adults with live music engagement, vocal coaching, rhythmic exploration, and community building through culturally diverse songs.

Program consultant, Elissa Carmona multi-award-winning Bronx band legend of Morisannia Band Project, brought over a decade of experience working with older adults and a deep record of artistic and community leadership. A Bronx born vocalist, Air Force veteran, and recipient of the 2025 SU-CASA, Arts Fund, and Community Arts awards.

The Multicultural Music Group’s musical director, Timofei Rosales, a trilingual pianist and educator with a degree in performance from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music, and Percussionist Manny “El Rumbero” Montanez, a Bronx native and founder of Manny’s Boogaloo Crew, contributed their Afro-Caribbean roots and Rumba expertise throughout all sessions. Bassist Rob Roberts joined for the final four sessions, adding harmonic and rhythmic depth to the ensemble.

Timeless Tunes brought vitality, voice, and visibility to the older adults of Marble Hill.
